Best Nightlife -(Bars)
BarSchwein
(Nightlife - Bars)
Franzstraße 3
Munich 80802
+49-(0)-172-831-1939
Description:
The bar claims the world's longest happy hour an idea worth taking to the bank. And here's the spot, since the name plays upon "Sparschwein," the piggy container for German children's coins. A former beer salesman, owner Ralph Pelster chose a concept that didn't yoke him to any one brewery. He gathers together Kölsch from Cologne, Tergensee Helles (lager) and Paulaner Weissbier. The place is popular among students from the neighboring university. Atop the street-level bar lies an apartment, which can be reserved for private parties.

Tengstraße 20
Munich 80798
+49-(0)-172-831-1939
Description:
The longest happy hour continues with the benefits of a full-service kitchen. The location the basement of the Haus Savoy is somewhat famous, as one of the first residential buildings in Munich with a concierge desk. Also, the penthouse suite was home to Leni Reifenstahl, the controversial German film director, actress and dancer whose friendship with Hitler and a Nazi propaganda film overshadowed her later work. The basement was an Italian restaurant for many years, where Munich movie moguls glammed in the 60s and 70s.

Havana Club
(Nightlife - Bars)
Herrnstraße 30
Munich 80539
+49-(0)-89-291-884
Description:
Named for the Cuban rum, Havana Club is a splash of the Caribbean in Bavaria. Ceiling fans, palm trees and rattan furnishings add to the tropical vibe. The music is a mixture of Latin beats and salsa. Cocktails are pricey but strong and made with top-shelf ingredients. The bar staff is known for putting on a show. Close to Isar Tor, Havana Club is central, but escapes the tourist hordes. Mostly a hang out for locals, this is a great place to meet Bavarians. The clientele ranges from business suits to bike-tour guides, late 20s to 40s.
